FDC head to The BBC Good Food Show
We headed to The BBC Good Food Show at the SEC Centre on the weekend of Friday 20th October, where our cocktails went down a storm! It was perhaps one of the busiest events we have done to date and we are so glad we went.
The BBC Good Food Show is a particularly great event for us because we really want to tap into the foodie scene in Glasgow and the SEC Centre is a stone’s throw away from our very own stomping ground, Finnieston. We think the ‘Finnieston’ in our company name really enticed people to our stall on the day. That, and the incredible bright coloured branding on each of the cans!
We made sure we had plenty of samples for people to try because we’re aware that consumers are unsure if they will like a Scotch Whisky Cocktail and can be reluctant to try one. Having said that, we have been astounded by the number of people who have told us that they love our Scotch Whisky Cocktails but don’t like Scotch Whisky, which is an extremely interesting concept. We were even more surprised when the very same people left our stall with a 4 pack of their own!
We love to be at these types of events alongside quirky street food vendors and smaller (and sometimes very local!) drinks companies such as Thistly Cross, Eden Mill and St Andrew’s Brewing Company. There were even a few guest appearances from John Torode and the Hairy Biker’s this year!
